Crystal Kingdom

I had been working on a series in which I had to create a large assortment of concept-worlds that I would either polish and use or ignore and keep as future uses, but when I sketched out the Crystal Kingdom, I and many others agreed that I should build the concept. I took the sketch to Clip Studio and hand drawn, colored, and rendered the entire scene to fit my vision.
Playing with saturation and complementary colors once more, I was able to conjure a dynamic environment that plays with realistic elements (Crystal reflections, shapes, earthy grounds) while also dipping into artistic expression with dramatically increased elements to strengthen the vibrant, mythical kingdom that went from a concept to a complete creation.

While designing a logo sequence, I had to take one of the logos and work with a color group of my choice. Inspired by the color theme of “Papers, Please”, I played with different saturations and values of cyan and blood orange to execute this design.
This logo was created in Clip Studio Paint and was touched up in Photoshop to correct and mis-translated hues from the art program.
Dunamis Renata Logo

A specially designed logo to represent this website and it’s name: Dunamis Renata. “Dunamis”, Greek for strength, and Renata, Latin for rebirth. I wanted to incorporate the brands meaning and origin into the logo execution while keeping the brands colors.
I was able to design a double headed axe, or labrys, as the core symbol in the logo, and an ouroboros (A serpent eating it’s own tail) at the center of the blades.
